The Open-Air Museum of Salzburg

Salzburg

The Salzburg open-air museum is divided into five sections on a 500,000 m² site in the midst of the Untersberg Nature Park near the city of Salzburg. Just like the Salzburg region, the buildings were grouped together and rebuilt – Flachgau, Tennengau, Pongau, Pinzgau and Lungau.

The Salzburg Open Air Museum documents rural building, living and working in the province of Salzburg from the 16th to the 20th century.

70 original buildings from the province of Salzburg such as farms, craft houses, blacksmiths, sawmills, mills, barns and pastures. Interesting permanent and special exhibitions and a variety of craft demonstrations make your visit an unforgettable experience and, moreover, offer visitors a cultural and leisure experience of great memory value.
