The Fountains of Hellbrunn Castle
Created as an architectural jewel on the southern outskirts of Salzburg, Hellbrunn remains one of the most magnificent Renaissance buildings north of the Alps: a pleasure palace with extensive parks and unique water features.
From the very beginning, the water became the defining design element of the castle. The numerous sources of the Hellbrunner Berg give the mighty estate bubbling life. Hidden away in the green shade of bushes and trees or alive with unexpected hiding – for almost 400 years, thefountains have been the world-famous centrepiece of Hellbrunn.
